A wonderful place for lunch. Our waitress, Celsina, was fantastic. So kind and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Great experience and would strongly recommend to anyone.

Carnitas and carne asada we're great. Tender. Flavorful. Fast!Service is good. The manger loves to walk around on the phone yelling. Not angrily but wayyyyy too loud for a dining room. Food is very very good tho.

Traveling through Leadville and thought we might try something new. Food was hot, service was good, and prices were reasonable. Not 5 stars, because it was a little bland. Now we also have spent enough time in Mexico City on business to know traditional Mexican food can be bland. So most likely traditional recipes. So for that...awesome job!

We decided to eat at Casa Sanchez 2 while visiting Leadville because we LOVE Mexican food and the ratings were so great.... now we understand why!! So good that we went back again a week later! This is some of the best Mexican we've had throughout all of our travels, and we travel full time! We ordered a michelada and Modelo to drink. To eat we had the asada burrito, pork carnitas, and a combo platter with a chicken enchilada with white cheese sauce, a shredded beef enchilada with green sauce, and a chile relleno. ALL DELICIOUS!! The salsa they serve with the chips is also great with amazing flavor. We had Abraham as our waiter both times and he was so attentive and outstanding! I would give this restaurant a 10 star rating if I could! I would highly recommend this place to anyone!! I will definitely be going back when in Leadville again!! MUY BUENO!!!!Kim K.

So good we ate here twice during our week in Colorado. Margarita Natural is a must. Delicious queso. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful. No doubt we'll be back.

Wow, so good. I’ve had great salsa and guacamole before, but it is usually tied with all of the other good places. This place really stood out in that regard, very different and also just somehow better. Oh, and then the margs and fish tacos were also outstanding. The shots on the house at the end would get a 6th star. Can’t wait to come back.

Leadville is a great little town to stop, shop and have lunch. Our lunch was great. Staff was friendly.

One of the best treats I encountered this summer while hiking the Colorado Trail was the chance to savor authentic Mexican cuisine once again. Unlike many establishments on the east coast that dial back the flavor and heat to suite the "Gringo" palate, Casa Sanchez is the real deal with in your face flavors and just down home good eating. Thanks for the culinary nirvana folks and will most definitely stroll in again in 2020 while hiking the Continental Divide Trail. Mañana amigos!

Casa Sanchez is a great spot at 10,000 above sea level to get a authentic Mexican dish. The service is great. The guacamole, brean dip, salsa is as good as it gets. Tacos Al pastor a tummy..

Food is very good. Had steak tacos. 👍Family had burger, nuggets and Burro. They said they enjoyed their meals as well. Thank you for the good eats!

They have a large menu and quite a few vegetarian options. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. I got the spinach enchiladas. The salsa was very fresh and chunky. Very friendly, attentive, and fast service. Clean environment. I would definitely recommend and will check out this place again.

After a long sunny day visiting vain village and copper mountain my friend me drove to Leadville by evening 7. By this time we were hungry and we were happy that we found this Mexican restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly. Great food. There were few out side seating available and in the evening sipping beer while the sun was setting was a good experience. A must visit restaurant if you are visiting Leadville..

Great location right off the main street in Leadville’s center. Good sized establishment and the service was warm and welcoming. The food had that authentic mexican taste to it. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Burrito with beans and rice as it seemed to be the best value item on the menu. I had was pleasantly full afterwards and enjoyed my meal here. A great mexican restaurant by any standards.

What is common among nearly all Mexican restaurants in the USA? They serve chips and salsa before your meal. This place not only makes their own salsa (which not all do) but it is possibly the best salsa I've ever had! It is spicy though, so not everyone will agree, but the flavors are amazing. The food in general was only above average but the service was friendly and speedy.

Really good food. One of the few places open for lunch. Salsa didn't look appetizing but was absolutely amazing! Definitely give that a try. Friendly staff. Would definitely return.

We are Colorado resident visitors to Leadville, staying for a few days, and we LOVE good Mexican food! I’m more than disappointed with our $70 order - w/$20 cash tip - take out experience. Packing up a $14 Mexican dinner on a large hearty paper plate then wrapping in tin foil is NOT ideal for take out. Three of these ordered and packed on hefty paper plates, tin foil wrapped, STACKED on top of each other. Imagine what outcome I discovered upon arrival at our Airbnb? They were all smashed!! First mistake with smashed not cheap dinners. Then, I specifically requested corn tortillas with one meal upon ordering and they were totally missing from the order. I also paid for extra chips and salsa. Stale chips. Again, a $70 take out order with a $20 ( thanks for being here during covid) tip and this is what we received? Fail! I would not recommend this place whatsoever.

Good food and staff was very pleasant.

Never been to Leadville, but decided to just go for a couple days. Didn’t know much of anything. The majority of the restaurants were closed (probably due to covid) and two that were opened just seemed blah. I decided to take my chances at Casa Sanchez. And I was NOT disappointed at all. The raspberry margarita was great along with hot chips and salsa. The salsa was spicey yet didn’t burn. I asked the waitress what she would recommend and she suggested the pork fajaitas. I’m not a huge fan of pork but I ordered it anyway. It was the best pork of any kind I’ve ever had. And the most tender and flavorful. It was so good I went back the next day for dinner and had the exact same thing. I also ordered a side of fries. I’m not sure what they put on them but those are also delicious. I live about 100 Miles from Leadville but I’d be willing to drive back again just for their food. Both servers I had were very friendly and kept the flow going. It was a good atmosphere for sure.

Best Mexican food I've ever had! The white sauce was phenomenal Service was friendly and quick! We were seated, got water and served our meal in a quicker time then the other place we tried. Highly recommend!

I only gave this 2 stars because it was edible enough and we didn’t die. We stopped through Leadville on our drive back to Denver, and the most popular pizza spot in town had a 2+ hour wait. So we got to-go here, and regret it. We are from Texas, but this was not just sub-par to our standards it was all over mediocre food. None of the food had really any flavor... tamale was dry and bland, rice and beans could’ve been plain cooked rice. My fiancé’s carne asada had a hair in it. I mean, they call Queso “cheese dip” (as in, when we asked for queso they corrected us to confirm we wanted cheese dip). So, that should say all you need to know about it’s authenticity.

This place was a fantastic lunch stop! We loved all of the food but I particularly liked the steak a la chicana!

I greatly enjoyed this restaurant. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the drinks were wonderful. I dined alone as I wandered about town and I didn't feel alone. I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Friendly and helpful staff. Was ordering takeout and found it to be especially expensive for the quality of food. My girlfriend and I were traveling, and in a hurry, so we did not check the food right away however we stopped about 5 minutes away to eat at a place where our dog could get out of the car. The tacos were single layered soft tacos that were plated on top of beans which made them extremely soggy and nearly impossible to eat. To top that off we weren't provided silverware or napkins so that was very frustrating. This would be a two-star review, however the flavors were excellent, despite the presentation or lack thereof.

My husband and I absolutely loved the menu and the atmosphere at this restaurant. My husband got the Colorado burrito that he literally cannot stop raving about that he ate two weeks ago. We will be back!

Service was quick and friendly! After hiking nearby, my wife and I stopped in here for lunch. Glad we did! Salsa was brought out almost immediately, and it was delicious. We ordered beers and they arrived in a flash. We placed food orders and our stuff was delivered within minutes! All very tasty!

Food is great, but the frozen margaritas are another story. Usually come out half liquid half ice chips floating on top.
